Our entryway is one of my favorite spaces to decorate in our home.  As seasons change, I apply the same steps over and over again to make it an easy and seamless transition seasonally. You can swap out some previous fall entryway tours I’ve shared HERE and HERE.

It was time to swap out our summer entryway look for a fall look. I can’t wait to share how I created this modern farmhouse entryway with these three repeatable steps.

Consider the season’s colors, textures, and specific items related to that season (i.e., summer and ferns, fall and pumpkins, Christmas and sleds, etc.) when decorating your entryway.  Simply take into consideration these things and are ready to go!

Pumpkins and blanket ladder

I knew right where to go for our Fall entryway decor…JOANN!

JOANN has a huge selection of fall home textiles, faux stems, garlands, wreaths, and pumpkins! I narrowed down my choices to fit within the fall color palette I choose for this space.

I also focused on choosing fall textures that included: chunky knit blankets and leather/felt pillows.

Are you ready to see how I decorated our entryway for fall?

BEFORE

Step One: Implement A Fall Color Palette

The colors I choose to use for our entryway decor included: taupes, creams, browns, greens, and whites. You can bring in fall colors through your greenery and stems, pillows, blankets, and wall decor.

Wood ladder

You can see that the wreath (similar one here), wood ladder, and amber glass vase echo this color palette perfectly. The amber vase I found at JOANN is one of my favorites, as I love using oversized vases and jugs in our modern farmhouse-style home.  It’s a fall version of the clear or blue vases I use in Summer.

The ladder adds great vertical height and is ready to hold blankets for fall.

Step Two: Implement Fall Textures

While Summer textures are more lightweight textiles, fall includes heavier-weight textiles. I found the amazing chunky knitted throw at my local JOANN again this year and they also have a grey version of it HERE.

Adding these faux leather throw pillows to our bench easily brought in a very classic fall look! I like how they really pop next to the cream pillows.

Coffee and Pumpkins!

The darker seagrass basket can serve functionally in an entryway and looks pretty too.

Step Three: Implement Fall Themed Decor

Pumpkins instantly say Fall! These faux pumpkins I found at JOANN are so realistic looking, and you can use them year to year. I choose the white and green pumpkins they had.

Faux Pumpkins

Faux stems are such an easy way to decorate your home seasonally.  I had such a hard time narrowing down which stems to use in our home because JOANN had so many to choose from and they were all so budget-friendly.  I love the ones here and here and they looked perfect in the amber glass vase.

Protip: The more narrow the top of the vase, the fewer the stems to use. So, consider the size at the top of the vase when adding stems.

Fall faux stems

Wall art is another way to add fall-themed decor.  The series of leaf prints were ones I found at JOANN last year and had to use them again this year. An alternate to the leaves is this pumpkin canvas wall decor.
