For my fall home, I enjoyed adding lots of fall colors inside of our home, layers and various textures, and fall scents to make everything feel cozy and welcoming this year. Today, I will be sharing our entryway, living room, and kitchen styled for the fall months ahead.

Consider the season’s colors, textures, and specific items related to that season (i.e., summer and ferns, fall and pumpkins, Christmas and sleds, etc.) when decorating your entryway. Simply take into consideration these things and are ready to go!

Fall Living Room

I love having our mantel styled for fall; it’s one of the first spaces people see when coming into our home. Farmhouse mantel decor doesn’t have to be complicated!

Just as I shared three steps when transitioning your home from Fall to Summer above, I have 3 easy tips when decorating your mantel from season to season.

Step One: Place (or hang above the mantel) an inspiration piece on the mantel.

This is going to be your big item(s) that is the focal point of the entire fireplace. I chose to layer two signs (you can find them HERE), as I love signs that have seasonal phrases and objects on them

Step Two: Fill in around your inspiration piece(s)!

Some ideas can include:

• Vases
• Candlesticks
• Pottery
• Pumpkins
• Garlands
• Lanterns

Step Three: Decorate the fireplace surround.

While you don’t want it to be cluttered, placing a few items creates continuity to what is on the mantel.

Blanket ladders are a staple in the modern farmhouse decor world and add great vertical height by your fireplace.  I love decorating mine seasonally and in this post, I am sharing how I styled my farmhouse blanket ladder for fall.

Fall Kitchen

Our kitchen is the hub of our home. I wanted our family to love being in this space this season.  So, I came added five cozy farmhouse fall decor ideas that I am sharing below. You can also go HERE to read all the details of these ideas! 

A room just won’t feel cozy if it doesn’t function well for your family. My plan was to bring in some items that were both functional, and pretty to look at. Mission accomplished!
