Home, for many, is a place of comfort. Whether that is relaxing from a long day, enjoying meals around the table, or sitting by a warm fire watching a movie, it is where I feel most cozy.
Our kitchen is the hub of our home. We find ourselves gathered in this space sometimes with our coffee cups, and other times doing homework on the kitchen island. With Fall making its way into Alabama, I knew it was time to decorate this space with farmhouse decor that will make staying home comfy cozy.
I hopped online and began searching through Walmart’s fall home decor. I found so many amazing items for my Summer master bedroom decor, that I knew it would be the perfect place to find pieces for our Fall kitchen.
Walmart Home has a huge array of home furniture, bedding, and home decor items and can be shipped right to your front door. Plus, so many Walmart Home items are very affordable (don’t miss these deals too!). I immediately started finding the perfect cozy farmhouse kitchen decor items for the fall.
My plan was to bring in some items that were both functional, and pretty to look at. Mission accomplished! Check out the after below. Here are my five cozy farmhouse kitchen ideas for the fall.
I love adding garland around our kitchen window during the holidays, but had not tried it until this year during Fall! And, I am loving the look of it. This 2-pack maple leaf garland is hung by a nail on each side of the window frame at the top. You can also use command hooks for a more temporary option.
I added a strand of battery-powered lights to make it even cozier in the fall evenings. Just weave through garland as you do holiday garland.
Soups, casseroles, and simmering pots of grits call for having lots of kitchen tools within arm’s reach. I love this ceramic tool crock, it holds all over our wooden spatulas and more.
Set it atop a tray or riser for the perfect farmhouse look. Adding other, similar vessels will give it a nice collected look.
No talkie before coffee haha has long been a rule my family knows about me. Now that we have teenagers, they are beginning to understand and feel the same way about their morning coffee.
Having sturdy, heavier mugs to enjoy holding warm coffee in the fall sounded so comfy to me. This set of 6 stoneware mugs were perfect.
True story, when my family saw the farmhouse fall kitchen touches I had added, they all commented on this rose gold dish drying rack first! Who knew how much they’d been wanting an official drying rack, and that they could be so cute too?!
Fresh kitchen towels are always a good idea to change out seasonally. Not only does it update the colors or designs for the current season, but they tend to get worn out after a few months and look well used. I love this set of 5 assorted black and white towels. I draped one here over the sink and rolled up the others and placed them into the vessel by the tool crock.
While I really enjoyed our kitchen runner, it had seen its better days. Replacing a kitchen runner or accent rug is easy to do and budget-friendly too. Having something soft and warm under your feet for fall is nice.
This 27 x 45 chevron striped accent rug was a perfect size and love the fall colors!
And a bonus for the road haha! You can’t have cozy without lots of candles, right? Try using these flameless votives set inside of mason jars around your kitchen for the perfect finishing farmhouse touch!
What do you think of these fall kitchen decor ideas? We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, both aesthetically and functionally. I’d love to hear one piece that is your favorite or how you can incorporate these ideas into your own kitchen in the comments below.
Here’s to a cozy and inviting fall kitchen!
