I was craving simplicity when designing this mason jar centerpiece for Spring. I also wanted to use items I already had on hand, because, well as a home decorator I have pieces I can pull from in my closet when seasons begin changing. Plus, I wanted you (the reader!) to feel like you could create this for your dining table today too. If you have mason jars (or similar glass jars), faux flowers or stems, and a wooden box you’ve got everything you need to make this centerpiece for Spring!
I love this rustic wooden box my husband made for me last Fall. Head here for the full DIY on this rustic wood centerpiece box. Once you’ve grabbed your centerpiece box or even a wood tray (this is one of my favorite trays and would work perfectly for this centerpiece!), you’re ready to grab those glass jars.
As I mentioned, I wanted to just use what I already had on hand for this centerpiece. So, I grabbed some of my favorite spring-looking stems, even those that were longer because the faux stems have wires, which creates an option to bend them to fit into the jars. I chose to use five mason jars and five stems. Odd numbers tend to be more pleasing on the eyes than even numbers for decor pieces like this!
Finally, place the mason jars inside your centerpiece box or on top of your tray. If you are like me and need some added height, you can fold paper, napkins, anything and place them under the jars to raise them above the box rim. Of course, do your best to hide these little paper helpers haha!
This easy mason jar centerpiece is perfect for Spring, and can be changed out seasonally! Don’t you love a good (and hopefully free) idea for your home? I hope you will give this fun DIY centerpiece a go! What kind of stems would you want to fill your jars with?
