I am so glad to have you joining me on this modern farmhouse-style spring tour of our home. I look forward to sharing our entryway, main living areas, and our kitchen decorated for Spring. Come on in, friend!
Hi there! If you are coming from my friend Joanna’s blog, Joanna Anastasia, welcome! Wasn’t her colorful spring cottage tour so lovely? It is a joy to join alongside so many of my blogger friends this week to bring you tons of spring decor inspiration as we share our home tours with you each day. And, a big thank you to my friend Krista, The Happy Housie, for organizing this blog hop for us!
This entryway area is so fun to style as seasons change, and this year for Spring, I wanted a more simplified look that was in line with modern farmhouse style. I found this umbrella basket at Target this year, and instead of using it to hold umbrellas (which you totally could, of course), I stuck about eight stems in it to add greenery to our entryway.
Check out this artwork that is new to our entryway! These two pieces helped inspire the rest of my decisions on how to decorate our home for Spring. The artwork is a great way to guide your decor decisions in a space. You can find these lovely pieces here and here. Stacking artwork vertically makes a warm and welcoming look for guests when they arrive!
We recently removed the rug from under this dining table and I am enjoying the lighter feel it gives. I may add back a rug one day, but for now, it feels light and airy! The centerpiece is a simple DIY I shared all about here. I can’t say enough about these linen curtains; they are both lovely and very budget-friendly (my mother said she couldn’t make them for that amount, and they’re quality linen). We have them in our bedroom too.
If you follow me over on Instagram, you know how much I love plants inside baskets! I am drawn to the layering and texture of it all. Simply place a faux bush like this one, inside this basket, and set it atop a stool (like this one) for the perfect corner piece.
Does decorating your mantel feel daunting to you? I shared a blog post on how to decorate your mantel in just 10 minutes with my no-fail formula! You can head here to check it out.
One of my favorite things about this Spring mantel is our new sign, “May His Presence,” found here (use code: SHEGAVEITAGO20 for 20% off!). Isn’t it so beautiful? And it has the lyrics to one of my favorite worship songs. Win-win!
Plus, this amazing Spring candle adds a delightful scent to our living room and entryway areas for Spring. I highly recommend these scents (don’t miss their bundle deals!):
From our dining room, you can see the front door. It is an open concept home in these three spaces, and this then leads into our kitchen. Have you tried layering signs before? I love the look of layered signs! The signs (“Morning Mercies” and “There’s No Place Like Home”) I have can both be found here. Again, use code SHEGAVEITAGO20 for 20% off.
Moving into our kitchen, I am excited to share with you the freshly decorated kitchen countertops. Not too long ago, I took everything off our counters, and pressed restart! I had some new paintings, candles, and then shopped my house to create a layered farmhouse look.
We also use candles in our kitchen, and to create this look, just set it atop a chippy white pedestal (you can find a similar one here), and wrap a wood bead garland around it.
I am so glad you came to visit our home for Spring. I hope you gathered ideas on how to decorate with a modern farmhouse style for your own home! Come back to visit soon.
Now, I cannot wait for you to head over to my friend Kelly, The Tattered Pew, home! You’ve got to check out her spring kitchen decorating ideas. Tell her I said hi!

You have a very beautiful home. The umbrella stand/plant holder is fantastic!
Hi Sarah,
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Love being on this hop with you.
Have a beautiful day,
Brendt
The artwork in your entryway is a great find. I also like how bright your dining room is. I like it without a rug.
Thank you, Sarah! We’ve enjoyed how open it feels without one. I appreciate your kind words so much.
Love being on this hop with you, friend!
xoxo,
Brendt
