How To Add Patriotic Farmhouse Decor To Your Porch

I am so excited about sharing with you how to add patriotic decor to your outdoor space. This is one of my favorite ways to decorate during the summer months and is in line with the farmhouse-style decor.

Of course, with the 4h of July during the summer, it will add a festive flair too. Adding patriotic decor to your outdoor space is not costly or complicated; it is easy and budget-friendly to do when you utilize the tips and tricks I am sharing in this post.

For this year’s decor, I headed to my local JOANN which is where I found a wonderful variety of patriotic farmhouse decor items and couldn’t wait to get home and style them.

This year, my patriotic farmhouse decor included:

• Patriotic pillows
• American flags
• American themed doormat
• Patriotic farmhouse style wreath
• Red/White/Blue picks in lanterns
• Pillar candles
• Faux plants and flowers

By adding these pieces, you will easily create a time-worn, farmhouse-style outdoor space that is sure to be warm and welcoming over these next few weeks.

Let’s take a look at each of these elements and how they will make your outdoor spaces pop for the summer months!

Happy Patriotic Pillows

I love the themed happy “Home of the Brave” 18 x 18 pillow here, and also the striped, tassel pillow here from JOANN. I layered a white pillow behind them.

Protip: For a farmhouse-style layout, use natural, wooden rocking chairs with a modern design to create not only a lovely look but also a very cozy to sit in during the cooler evening hours.  You can find my exact rocking chairs here.

USA Stick Flags

Of course, it wouldn’t be patriotic without flags, right?! Flags make a big impact for a little cost. And I love the way they look. If you don’t grab anything else for your outdoor space, grab these inexpensive flags and enjoy displaying them in various containers.

You can also place them in your faux or real plants as I did here.

Happy “Home of the Brave” Doormat

If you’ve followed me for a while now, you know how much I love layering doormats! I found this happy patriotic-themed doormat that I layered on top of the black/white check one to create a welcoming look.

Patriotic Farmhouse Twig Wreath

There’s nothing more rustic than a twig wreath and how perfect to find one with red/white/blue berries and stars on it.  I love the simplicity of this wreath I found at JOANN.

Red/White/Blue Accessories

Adding a few more accessories like these glitter starburst sprays will complete your patriotic decor look. I set them atop this adorable table I found at JOANN too.

Plus this star-cut-out candle holder was perfect for displaying more stick flags.

 

Remember, when adding themes to a space, you can pull together the overall look with accessories that are in the same color.

 

Bonus Protip: Candles and string lights are a great way to add ambiance in the evenings. Again, you can see that placing items in groupings makes a big impact.  You can find my pillar candles here.
