Are you looking for some cute teen girl bedroom decor? I can’t wait for you to check out how I refreshed my teen daughter’s bedroom for summer. Come check it out!
Having three teenage daughters means three different girl rooms to decorate, and let’s face it, keep up, haha! I’ve got great news, though: decor can be fun to change up from season to season and can also be done in a budget-friendly way. I wanted to spruce up my youngest daughter’s room this Summer and knew right where to go.
I hopped online and began searching through Walmart’s home decor. Walmart has a huge array of home furniture, bedding, and tons of other home decor items and can be shipped right to our front door. Plus, so many Walmart Home items are very affordable. I immediately started finding the perfect summer items for her bedroom.
My plan was to bring in bright colors as well as functionality. Mission accomplished! Check out the before above, and now check out the after below. Here is how I refreshed my teen girl’s bedroom for summer.
I fell in love with these tufted stripe decorative pillows. For a full or queen size bed, two 18 x 18 pillows are perfect to set in front of the sleeping pillows. To top it off, I added this fun faux suede pillow in the color peacock. Doesn’t that just sound perfect for a teen girl?
This shelf above her bed was the perfect place to add these functional (and cute) baskets to hold her books and other items she likes having around her bed. I loved the gray color for a light summer look. These baskets come in two different sizes; with the small size holding her books and other items here, I used the larger ones on her dresser to corral her perfumes.
If you’ve been following along with me for any time, you know how much I love using a white quilt or coverlet on the bed as the “base” layer of any bedding arrangement. How great do the fun pillows bounce off that quilt? This white coverlet set is the perfect weight for summer. I can’t say enough about how bedding can look pretty, but if it’s too hot or cold, you won’t be happy! I highly recommend this set for the summer months.
A plug-in arm sconce is seriously a cozy factor game changer. I love having wall sconces in a bedroom, and this one elevated the entire design immediately. Plus, it was so easy to hang. When my daughter wants to stay up later at night without the harsh overhead lighting, this cozy sconce will be perfect.
When I first saw these on walmart.com, I loved them. They aren’t the traditional “end” or “night” stands but don’t they work great next to a bed? I love the organic shape of the top and the modern legs. These nesting tables hold all the teen girl bedroom decor essentials; candles, books, journals, and of course, plants.
Lastly, this wall art is the icing on the cake! It is the perfect look for this space and on-trend for teen girl bedrooms. I loved how the frame is magnetic, a cool twist on a traditional frame. Mine is the 16 x 20 here.
What do you think? I couldn’t be happier with the way it all came together! I love the overall feel, and the best part was how much my teen daughter loves her summer bedroom look. I can’t wait for you to try this in your own space.
