A Complete Fall Cleaning Checklist for your Home

I want to start off by saying, all major cleaning, organizing, and decluttering happens in our home during the new year! Once the holidays end, I am always ready to strip our home down to the bare minimum and press refresh.  Stay tuned for the Winter checklist that will cover all the deep cleaning and organizing that will happen.

So the purpose of this complete fall cleaning checklist is two-fold…

One, it will help get your home prepped and sparkly clean ready for the holidays ahead. Second, with just a few items I am recommending in this post, you will tackle areas that seem unruly and hold them over until the major cleaning in the new year.

Let’s get started on the cleaning essentials for your fall cleaning!

From baskets to vacuums, Walmart has a huge array of home items for the tidy-er in you and they can be shipped right to your front door. Plus, so many Walmart Home items are very affordable.

Seagrass Baskets

I highly recommend this set of 2, seagrass baskets for storage. I use them to hold smaller cleaning supplies items, as well as, larger household items like toilet paper and paper towel rolls.

You can also see the baskets here in our living room holding extra blankets for these cooler evenings coming up. Baskets are going to be a key item in this checklist.

Cordless Vacuum

Another key item for this ultimate cleaning checklist for fall is a vacuum. I cannot say enough about our cordless Dyson vacuum and Walmart.com has an awesome deal on them,  This Dyson cordless vacuum comes in at a wonderful price.

It is so versatile! You can take off the long tube to just use with an attachment on places like sofas, chairs, and other harder-to-reach areas when cleaning…making your cleaning easier and faster! This vacuum is a win-win!

Additional items for your Fall Cleaning

  1. All-purpose cleaner
  2. Microfiber cloths
  3. Laundry baskets (I use these as “holding bins” when moving from room to room)
  4. Vinegar
  5. Hard floor washer
  6. Window cleaner
  7. Cleaning rags

As a side note, having a robot vacuum will ensure a daily sweep through of your home.  It requires nothing other than pressing a button and letting it go! This robot vacuum from Walmart.com is a great deal and is a must-have for a tidy home.
