This blogger’s best Spring Home Tour series hosts 29 bloggers sharing their beautiful Spring homes. I cannot wait for you to check out all this inspiration that is packed into this amazing series. Scroll down to check it out!
Spring has officially arrived in Birmingham, Alabama and I am so happy. I’ve been swapping out our winter decor over the few weeks and replacing it with spring decor. It’s been so fun!
Then, at the end of this post, 29 amazing bloggers’ posts are linked for you to go tour their spring homes too! Thank you so much to my dear and precious friend, Kelly of The Tattered Pew, for hosting this series. You do not want to miss her lovely Colorado home tour.
And, if you are coming from my friend Cindy of County Road 407, Welcome! I loved her tips when decorating for Spring with neutrals.
You can see that over the years, I have made some changes to our home from large-scale (i.e., painting the walls, new flooring) changes to a smaller scale (i.e., transitioned from farmhouse style decor to more modern farmhouse style decor) changes.
I enjoy changing it up and sharing fresh ideas with you each year.
Let’s start with our newly refreshed Spring porch and I have a secret to share with you. The flowers inside these planters are faux!
Could you even tell?! I am not great at keeping real plants/flowers alive on our porch during the hot spring and summer months so I opted for a no-fail solution. What do you think?
I’ve shared before how much I love the look of layered rugs. In fact, I’ve written a blog post on just how to layer spring doormats here.
Wood signs are a farmhouse-style staple. And, I love having words on our walls that create a warm and inviting feel! This Welcome, Stay Awhile sign (discount code: SHEGAVEITAGO) does just that; it greets anyone who walks in the door to make them feel at ease and welcomed!
Pair it with a faux plant in a basket for a complete look!
I love replacing the pillows for this bench seasonally.
Farmhouse decor and ticking stripe fabrics go hand in hand! You can’t go wrong adding some ticking stripe pillows to your sofas, chairs, or benches this Spring.
Adding wreaths to your indoor decor can be just as great as adding them to your outdoor decor. You can see how I hung this wreath above our entryway bench but you can also layer them over mirrors, window frames, and kitchen cabinets.
I’m sure you have seen in farmhouse style this idea all over the place, especially this year! Adding ceramic vases and other pottery items is so pretty in your living room. For spring, you can add plants and/or stems to these vessels.
I wanted to add another interesting element to our walls, and so I hung this botanical print wall hanging. Use code SHEGAVEITAGO for 10% off the botanical wall hanging.
Transitioning your living room from winter decor to spring decor doesn’t have to be hard! By implementing these 10 farmhouse living room decor ideas I shared, your living room will be refreshed and ready for spring.
As it gets warmer and warmer, you want to pack up the heavier textiles in your home and replace them with lighter-weight ones. I always swap out my living room pillows and blankets too, just like I do on our entryway bench.
You’ve seen how collected items are a staple with farmhouse style, and for me, this collection of farmhouse books was the perfect one to add to this chippy white table in our living room. In case you missed it, I shared these top 5 farmhouse decor books here.
This simple idea looks perfect on this chippy white table.
Oversized baskets like this one on our fireplace hearth hold 2 neutral colored pillows for Spring!
This year’s farmhouse mantel decoring ideas center around using neutrals, various textures, and layers to create a lovely and fresh look for your fireplace area. You can check all the details of our mantel for spring here.
I enjoy adding baskets, lanterns, pillows, and blankets around the fireplace. You can also use a plant or small tree instead of a basket.
Not too long ago, I took everything off our counters, and hit refresh! I had some new spring faux stems/potted plants and spring candles I wanted to style. Then, I simply shopped my house to create a simple, layered farmhouse look.
Creating a lovely farmhouse kitchen for spring in your own kitchen can be simple to do with these tips and tricks I shared here.
In a nutshell, here are the farmhouse kitchen decor ideas I used in my kitchen:
Spring scents are just lovely! I always enjoy changing up my candles according to what season we are in, and my favorite scents right now are Grapefruit, Lemon, and Peach. You can find all these favorites HERE
Now, I cannot wait for you to head over to my friend Lindsay of Aratari At Home. She is sharing a gorgeous Spring tablescape idea that you don’t want to miss.
