Merry Christmas friends, and welcome to my 2021 holiday home tour! If you are coming from my friend Joanna’s of Joanna Anastasia cozy home tour, thanks so much for stopping by. Wasn’t her tour simply lovely?!
This tour is part of the Seasonal Simplicity Series hosted by Krista over at The Happy Housie. It is such a joy to be a part of this tour every year.
Welcome to our holiday home! I am so happy you are here. I cannot wait to take you along our entryway, living room, and dining room areas all the while sharing some fun decor tips and tricks along the way.
Last year we installed new flooring and painted all of our walls the same white throughout our entire home. You can read more about this paint makeover here.
I am still enjoying all of the lighter and brighter feels of our home and they served as the backdrop to our Holiday home look.
Have you ever walked into a store and felt a bit overwhelmed by all the holiday/Christmas decor they have on display?
Where do you start? What will make the most impact on my home without breaking my budget? Or maybe you have several Christmas bins that need sorting through: keep, give away, and trash. What do you keep that will provide use year after year?
I am here to help you and share five things for a lovely Christmas home year after year here. Plus, if you are learning how to trim your tree, you can read how I did mine here. I hope these will serve as helpful resources to you!
You may notice the signs like this “Emmanuel” sign to ring in the true meaning of Christmas. We also enjoy placing nativity sets around our home. Both of these are great ways to add the message of Christ’s birth to your home too.
Use code SHEGAVEITAGO for 15% off this beautiful Emmanuel sign and the music sheet sign (in the photo above) HERE.
I shared over on Instagram a few days ago, a FREE (or very budget-friendly way) to immediately bring the holidays into your home is by adding greenery.
Simply add it to your everyday house decor items like trays, bowls, and jars.

The Christmas tree in our living room is neutral this year with a focus on textures to make it sparkle and shine! I went for big impact pieces this year like the white flower stems, big wooden balls, and farmhouse-style signs with words.
You can take a look at my trees from years past here and here.
I did have to learn how to decorate a mantel with a TV on it this year.
It was kind of funny because I enjoyed figuring out a couple of looks I like with the TV and first decorated my mantle with a very colorful and festive feel.
Take a full tour of my Festive Farmhouse Mantel here.
Then, since I love decorating, I wanted to see how it would look like a neutral mantel for the holidays.
And that is what you are seeing on this tour! Do you have one you prefer over the other? Let me know in the comments below because it will help me as I already plan for next year’s look.
This space is adjoining our fireplace and mantel area. I have loved this sign for a few years now, and simply added some candlesticks, greenery, and a jar wrapped in beads to complete the look.

This Christmas artwork is some of my favorites this year! I fell in love with these coordinating pieces. You can find the “Still” piece here and the “Dream” piece here. My pieces are 24 x 30 in the coastal white frame. Use code SHEGAVEITAGO for 10% off).
What better way to fill a vertical wall than stacked artwork?
Our dining room chairs are all dressed up with small wreaths tied on to them by looping a wire ribbon through the back of each.
And, I have to admit it, I love Santa! So, he holds a special spot here by our dining room tree.
As my mother-in-law said, we have to have a bright and cheery tree for the children. I couldn’t agree more, so this one is really fun and full of red, banners, whimsical stems, and red/white ornaments.
Looking for a free tree skirt idea? Take a blanket (like I did with this red one here) or quilt and wrap it around the base of your tree. And for the smaller trees, place inside of a basket for some great texture.

This console table is in our dining room, and I loved adding layers of signs and an arched mirror to give it a modern farmhouse holiday look.
Draping beads in a footed bowl is another easy way to add texture to a space in your home year round.
That concludes my holiday home tour of our entryway, living room, and dining room. I hope you enjoyed it, I am so thrilled you stopped by!
Now, I cannot wait for you to go check out my friend Ashley of Modern Glam home tour. She always creates such beautiful spaces, I know you will love it!

You did such a beautiful job decorating for Christmas this year. I love the little wreaths on your dining room chairs.
