Welcome Home Saturday, Neutral Fall Decorating Guide
Do you love decorating your home in a neutral color palette but are stumped on how to decorate for Fall? Then you are going to LOVE this helpful guide.
There are four separate categories to consider when decorating with neutral colors for fall. This guide will help you have a foolproof game plan for a fantastic fall space.
Neutral Fall Decor: Textures Use textures throughout your home, mixing and matching as you go.
Different textures include:
Galvanized cans/pots
Oversized blankets (tassels or pom-poms are a bonus!)
Lanterns or cloches to hold battery-operated candles for that warm fall glow
Natural fall elements: grapevine, pumpkins, gourds, fall-colored fruit, tree limbs with or without leaves
Wood: chippy, painted, or unfinished
Fur: blankets, pillows, throws

Neutral Fall Decor: Layers
Layers make the farmhouse world go round! Here are some ideas of what this looks like:
Wreaths: place on top of chippy windows, Wood signs, or over a mirror
Blankets and pillows: have several of these around for the cooler months
Neutral Fall Decor: Fall-themed words
Words, sayings, and quotes are the perfect way to set the fall right.
Here’s where to look for them:
Wood signs
Scrolls
Metal word cutouts
Printables
Neutral Fall Decor: Objects with varying heights
Here’s what we mean:
Candlesticks vary the heights
Faux plants or various-sized pumpkins
Use a tray to place the vignette on
Fall bedding with horse wall art
Protips:
When creating vignettes, do odd number pairings (3, 5, etc.) instead of even numbers.
I’m sure you have the idea now, but to clarify, steer clear of being overly matchy! Nothing says farmhouse style like spaces that have that time-worn and tattered feel.
