Life Lately…
This season has been full, in the very best way. I have had the joy of speaking at a women’s gathering and connecting with fellow creators at a content creator conference.
I wanted to take a moment to share what I’ve been up to lately, the lessons I’ve been learning along the way, and a few reminders of God’s faithfulness that I hope will encourage you too.

Fusion Women’s Event: From Marriage and Family Therapist to Content Creator and Author
A few weeks ago, I was honored to speak at Green Valley Baptist Church’s Fusion Women’s Event. It’s a quarterly gathering where women come together to eat, connect, and hear a message of encouragement.
I was interviewed by Jo Ellen, who leads the women’s ministry. We talked about my career journey; how I went from working as a Marriage and Family Therapist to stepping into the unexpected path of becoming a full-time content creator.
As we talked, I shared more about my heart behind my new book, Listen Closer, and how the practice of reframing our thoughts can completely change our lives. When we replace the world’s lies with biblical truth, our inner narrative shifts…and that changes everything.
It was such a joy to hear women afterwards connecting their own stories with the message of truth and transformation as we ended with table talks.

Achieve Conference: Encouraging Creators to “Give It a Go”
Most recently, I had the privilege of speaking at the Achieve Conference with my dear friend KariAnne of Thistlewood Farm. Together, we shared our experiences with affiliate marketing and how creators can turn their online presence into a strong source of income that supports their families and purpose.
It was such a fun session, filled with laughter, practical tips, and the reminder that creativity is a calling too. Sharing the stage with KariAnne was an honor and we loved encouraging other women to “give it a go” when it comes to their dreams.

I also got to spend time with my best friend from college, Katy, and of course we had a wonderful few days together.
Lessons God Has Been Teaching Me
If you had told me years ago that I would be speaking in front of large groups of women, I probably would have been hesitant. I used to get so nervous about public speaking! But these recent experiences have reminded me that when God calls you to something, He equips you for it; often one small step at a time.
I’ve learned that:
- God can use our past experiences in ways we never expected.
- The fears that once held us back can become the very places He displays His strength.
- When we share our story, we invite others to see His goodness more clearly.

Standing in those rooms, one filled with women from my local community, and another filled with creative entrepreneurs, I felt God’s peace all around!
A Word of Encouragement for You
Friend, maybe God’s calling you to something new right now. Maybe it feels a little uncertain or outside your comfort zone. My encouragement to you is this: trust Him and give it a go.
He’s already gone before you. And on the other side of your “yes” might just be the most beautiful chapter yet.
