Easy DIY Wooden Christmas Ornaments

I have always loved the look of the wood ornaments at Christmas time.  They are in line with a modern farmhouse look and that is exactly what style our home is decorated for year-round. So why not add some to our home this Christmas season?

 

I thought it would be fun to try my hand at making some of my own and knew right where to go to find my supplies for these DIY wooden Christmas ornaments, JOANN! I found so many options right away, but landed on the supplies I’ll be sharing with you below.

These ornaments are easy to make and JOANN makes them very budget-friendly.  Plus, they add a layer of personalization that you and your family will enjoy having on your tree.

DIY Wooden Christmas Ornaments Supplies:

• Wood slice ornaments
• Ribbon
• Wood letters
• Acrylic Paint
• Paint brushes
• Tacky glue

DIY Wooden Christmas Ornaments Instructions:

First, paint a white circle that is slightly smaller than the diameter of the ornament.

Let them dry!

Second, paint your wooden letters.  I used black paint but you can of course use any color you prefer. 

Let dry!

Third, put tacky glue on the back of each letter and place it in the middle of the painted circle. Press and hold a few seconds to secure in place.

 

That’s it! Your DIY ornaments are complete and ready to hang on your tree. Head to JOANN to grab your supplies and get started.
