A couple of days ago, I revealed our new bedding and window treatments on Instagram. I was so happy to receive a lot of positive feedback and promised I’d write a blog post highlighting all the new pieces of our cozy master bedroom.
As I shared there on Instagram, I followed just two tips to create a cozier space for fall.
The first decor idea is to add color to your bedding! I achieved this goal by adding the rust-colored leaf sheets and draping the navy blanket across the end of our bed.
The rest of the bedding of course adds layers of cozy goodness! I always recommend having a nice white quilt set as your bedding foundation. I am head over heels about this white cotton voile quilt from The Company Store; it is amazing.
And the coordinating voile Euro shams here.
Then, I added a king-size linen duvet cover in parchment at the end of our bed, using my tri-fold technique to give it a fluffy look. The coordinating king-size linen shams are here.
Pro tip: If you have to splurge on a bedding piece, let it be your duvet/comforter! This down comforter I have is so fluffy, warm (but not too warm lol), and durable.
The second decor idea is to add window treatments that are functional and lovely. What I mean by that is ones that will help block out sunlight from coming into your room at 5 AM haha, and also are pretty to look at.
These woven wood shades in Rustic Jute I cannot say enough positive things about. They do have the blackout liner and significantly decreased the sunlight from coming into our room. We are so happy with them!
The drapery is also new, and it is the classic pleat draperies in Shetland Matte White. They add a nice touch of romance to the room.
We couldn’t be happier with how our master bedroom all came together for Fall. What do you think?
