DIY Unique Spring Wreath

Wreaths no longer have to be circular, they come in many shapes and forms these days. So when I came across this cute black and white tote in my spring decor storage tote, I thought it would make a cute wreath filled with greenery. It not only was so easy, but free. If you have a fun spring tote sitting around and some greenery you are all set to make this unique spring wreath!

I always enjoy making wreaths to go on front door or in/around our home and have made several already this year! So, I wanted to do something a little different, and when I came across this black and white tote in my spring decor bin, a light bulb went off! I can use this to hang from the hooks in our entryway or on our door. I’ve been into black and white this spring so it was perfect.

Your bag can be really made out of any material, I’ve seen people use grain sacks to hold florals! You can use bright colors, neutrals, or even have fun monogramming or stenciling on a spring word! In order to make the bag look more full, I simply stuffed some brown kraft paper I had on hand. It works well, but I’ve used plastic sacks too before when needing some “fluff”!

While I love splashes of seasonal color, my heart gets happy when it’s just good ol’ neutrals with lots of layers and textures. It is my tried and true decor go to! This arrangement is very casual and inline with farmhouse style. I started in the back with my longer stems and just made my way towards the front with the shorter stems (some I just bent to make shorter).

It is all done! Go find a cute door hanger (I love this one here), and hook it on there. I love the way it turned out…what do you think?

Tip: You may need to “refluff” the bag once you have it on the hook. I had to do a little situating to get it just right.

Here it is on our front door and you can see I definitely have a black and white theme going on right now!

Of course, you can always hang it inside on hooks like I did here in our entryway. I like it here too, it just helps add another layer to this wall. I added back the other front door decor to show you both. You can find all the details of that DIY basket for your front door here.
