I’m in constant motion around our home, updating and changing things around because of my love for it! Recently, I’ve been pouring a lot of energy into my son Paul’s room. His room was sort of “abandoned” for some time now and needed some big boy updating.

I saw his room as the perfect opportunity to finally do a project I’ve been wanting to do in our home for some time: creating a rustic wood accent wall.

When dreaming about a rustic accent wall, I had two goals: to find a solution that would look beautiful but would also be easy to install.  I found that Timberchic’s product met both of those goals perfectly.  Timberchic’s real wood planks are each unique and come completely finished in one of their many color variations.  We chose “Freestone” because of its rich, warm color.  I knew it would bring about a handsome look and cozy feel. And, what’s not to love about their peel and stick install method? Each piece comes ready to simply peel off the back stickers and press to your wall.  How easy indeed!

My husband and son worked together on this DIY project.  (As much as a 4-year-old can help!) It’s simple steps made for an easy install process.  You simply measure your wall and set your plan for how many rows you’ll need, pop a chalk line to use as the guide for your first rows, then you’re good to go! There is some cutting involved in the final stages of installing your end pieces, but it’s minimal and simple to manage.

All in all, I am absolutely thrilled about how this project turned out.  Timberchic’s easy install and overall visual appeal met both of my goals for this wall perfectly. What do you think of it?
