Who doesn’t love a flower wreath? They just remind me so much of summertime! I had some leftover stems and florals sitting around my craft closet, and I thought, why not make a summer wreath with a mix of all these bright faux flowers?! So that is exactly what I did!

I love using a hanging basket as a wreath. I recently found this willow hanging basket that is a lightweight option for a wreath arrangement. If you are hanging it on a door, you do not want something too bulky because it will be bothersome when opening and closing the door. So this one was perfect.

Next, I added the tallest stems to create the height needed for the summer wreath. The great thing about faux stems is you can bend the length needed for the vessel you are using. I love the look of eucalyptus leaves, so those are the tall backdrop.

Then, I just started filling in the gaps with the various floral stems and greenery. It was so easy to do! You can bend some of the tops of the stems to go different directions so that everything looks full. The last step is to tie a ribbon around the basket. I chose this tan gingham ribbon as a neutral base for the bright colors above.

This basket can be placed on a door with a door hanger (like this one) or simply draped over a nail and hung on a back porch or patio area. As you can see, the possibilities are endless. If you are aiming for the wildflower look, I suggest splashes of various colors, as you see here.
