I am so excited to walk you through this easy recipe for making Christmas white chocolate dipped pretzel rods. A mix of sweet and salty is always a delicious treat! I have always loved the regular chocolate covered pretzels but these are a twist on those and will surely be enjoyed by those you gift them to.

Don’t miss at the end several other homemade Christmas gifts that my talented blogger friends are sharing too! Thank you Krista over at The Happy Housie for hosting this blog hop. Now let’s get started!

Gather the supplies first! You can see in the photo above that there are very few ingredients to make the chocolate covered pretzel rods I made. However, you can get creative and add other candies to them as well such as: M&M’s, peppermint pieces, other sprinkle shapes and colors to name a few. You can also buy several colors of the candy melts and drizzle them on top of the these. The options are limitless! I kept mine more simple yet still fun to keep supplies cost at a minimum.

I bought the 12 oz. candy melts bag. Follow the directions on the back of the bag when doing this next step of melting the chocolate.

As a tip, I made 14 pretzel rods with a little over half of the twelve ounces of chocolate bag. Depending on how much chocolate you add, one bag can go a fairly long way!

Dip them in the chocolate and lay on top of the parchment paper. Next, add your sprinkles while the chocolate is still warm so they will stick to the covered pretzel rods. I sprinkled heavily so that I could roll the dipped pretzel rods into the extra and cover the sides and back well. Aren’t they so fun?!

Lastly, just let the candy harden, and you are done! An under 20 minute homemade gift idea for Christmas that is a yummy and pretty treat. What do you think you would use for your chocolate covered pretzel rods? Next time, I am going to do milk chocolate with peppermint! Cannot wait to make another batch soon to gift to our children’s teachers and our neighbors!
