5 JOANN Fall Crafts your Family Will Love to Make

These five crafts are a fun way to spend time with your family and add touches of fall around your home. They are primarily beginner-level crafts and require many of the same supplies per craft.

For each craft, I will list the supplies we used so that you can easily recreate the project. We found all the supplies we used at JOANN. JOANN has a vast array of fabrics, crafting items, and fall-themed decor items to embellish the crafts with. JOANN is my go-to for making any crafts for our home.

Below is a birds-eye view of all the supplies we used.

JOANN Fall Craft: Toilet Paper Pumpkins

Supplies:

• Toilet Paper
• Fabric (all of mine came from JOANN, buffalo check fabric here)
• Bunting
• Raffia
• Burlap Ribbon
• Glue Gun

 

Instructions:

1. Place the toilet paper roll on top of your fabric and place some bunting around the toilet paper until you’ve reached the desired thickness.
2. Then begin wrapping and gathering fabric around and hold it all in a fist at the top of the roll.
3. Tie yarn or twine around the base of the gathered fabric and then cut off the excess fabric.
4. Tuck the remaining little bit of fabric into the top of the covered roll.
5. Next, cut a piece of your burlap ribbon and fold it in half.  Hot glue this “stem” to the top of your pumpkin.
6. Last, add some loosely tied raffia to the base of your stem!

And you’re done!

 

Fall Craft: DIY Fall Centerpiece

Supplies:

• Wood box or tray (I used the largest box of this hexagon set)
• Burlap Ribbon
• Fall picks (these are my favorite, then mix in whatever ones you love too!)
• Small pumpkin
• Raffia

Instructions:

1. Place some raffia in the bottom of your box or tray.
2. Then, set a small pumpkin in the middle.
3. Next, nestle loose raffia around the top to look full.
4. Stick the fall picks around the edges of the box or tray.
5. Add the burlap ribbon to the outside of the box to finish it.

Done!

Fall craft: Pumpkin Wall Art

Supplies:

• Mini pumpkins
• Glue Gun
• Framed wood piece (similar one here)
• Raffia
• Knife

Instructions:

1. Carefully cut mini pumpkins in half but save a whole one.
2. Hot glue them in rows on your wood piece.
3. Glue a whole pumpkin last to add a touch of whimsy.
4. Tie raffia in a bow on the top.

And hang up in your entryway!

Fall craft: Gratitude Basket

Supplies:

• Basket
• Ribbon (plain orange, orange polka dot ribbon here)
• Permanent marker
• Nesting straw
• Paper

 

Instructions:

1. Tie ribbon to both sides of the basket
2. Place permanent marker inside the loop of a ribbon.
3. Invite family members to write items on the pieces of paper that they are thankful for.  Open on Thanksgiving day and share them.

Fall Craft: Framed Word Wall Hanging

Supplies:

• 3-tier Square Wall Frame 
• Permanent marker

Instructions:

1. Simply paint or write a saying associated with fall or Thanksgiving.
2. Hang and enjoy!
