Why I love Our Daughters’ New Dressers

Two of my daughters turned into teens over over the past couple of years and the other one is now a preteen. It’s no surprise that as they’ve grown, so has the size of their clothing and their desires to take care of and grown their own wardrobes. I had not really considered that the size of their young girl dressers were not quite doing the job anymore. It really wasn’t until my youngest daughter informed me that under her bed and on top of her dresser was where she would be storing her pajamas and sweatshirts. Further, my oldest daughter had my dresser from when I was in high school (years ago that was haha!) and most of the drawers were broken. I would oftentimes find her clothes hanging out of her off tracked and tilted drawers.

Do you get the picture? I finally did! It was time to replace their dressers for ones that were larger and well made for growing needs as young women.

I had the privilege of shopping Overstock’s amazing dresser selection (my bedroom dresser is from Overstock too, I talk about in this post here). They had so many styles to choose from, narrowing down our choices for each girl was truly tough because of this breadth of selection. Each daughter had slightly different goals when looking for their new dressers, and I will share those as I show you each girl’s dresser they chose.

Now that we have them in our home and have been used for some weeks now, I can say that we love their new dressers. Each dresser offers ample space for them to organize their clothes, excellent quality making them easy to assemble and work well, and a beautiful statement piece for their transitioned teen girl rooms. Let’s take a look at them now!

Sara Frances’ Dresser: Copper Grove White Stanislaus Dresser And Mirror

Our oldest daughter preferred a classic white look with lots of drawers and a mirror! No more drawers off their track and not enough room to contain her larger clothing pieces! With her being involved in athletics, she now has a drawer solely dedicated to her volleyball attire which makes it so much easier to find and get dressed for practices and games. She also feels like it makes her room look bigger and brighter!

Our middle daughter was using a very small chest that wasn’t really functioning at all for her, so she had primarily been maxed out using as much of her closet space as possible. It was difficult for her to find clothing, and had forgotten about several items that had been on the bottom of piles. Not only does it have great storage for her clothing, but it also doesn’t take up too much space in her room. She likes her room to be more open so this dresser is taller and not as deep, taking up less floor space. She loves that! The icing on the cake is the gorgeous hardware that is part of this dresser. It definitely provides a statement piece that had been missing.

Caroline’s Dresser: Louis Philippe III Antique Grey 6-drawer Dresser

Our youngest daughter had been utilizing a shabby chic style armoire, but it just didn’t have enough storage for her anymore. With this new six-drawer dresser, she finally had a place to store her sweatshirts and pajamas. On top of it holding her clothing, it is stunning! My husband asked if he could use it for his clothes haha! She loves the modern farmhouse style it offers, and enjoys the grey color in her room. This is a piece that she can use for years to come and can work for multiple looks.

Although our girls had dressers in their rooms prior to receiving these new ones from Overstock, they were not functioning well due to broken pieces, lack of space for their growing clothing needs, and were outdated in their look. Now they have a lovely place to store and organize their clothes. We couldn’t be happier with our daughters’ new dressers.
