When you entertain for Easter, you know you’re in for plenty of colorful eggs, lovely spring flowers, happy bunnies, and family fun. With so much to work with, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. But the good news is that Easter decorating doesn’t have to be complicated.
Mixing basics that I already had on hand with Easter themed pieces from Christmas Tree Shops andThat!, I will be sharing an effortless tablescape, centerpiece, and brunch buffet. Let’s get started!
Our home’s everyday look is modern farmhouse style, which I wanted to use as our base for the table setting. These pieces included faux wood chargers, linen stripe napkins, white plates, and wooden handled utensils. Using what you already have on hand saves time and money. So, just by adding these adorable Springtime Rabbit Disposable plates and “Happy Easter” Colored Eggs Fabric Placemats, I immediately created an Easter setting.
These plates are part of a dinnerware set which were my inspiration pieces for the table setting, centerpiece, and buffet. The colors in the plate, the whimsical feeling, and overall happy look guided all my decisions in these three ideas. I recommend finding a piece that will help you guide your decorating direction. Bonus? The plates are paper and can just be thrown away once the gathering is over.
The base of my Easter table was simply brown craft paper. It is so affordable and of course, you can just throw away after the party ends. That is why I love using runners because they add such a great touch without the hassle and expense of a full tablecloth. This Bunnies and Egg Pink Ruffle Table Runner is perfect.
I then added my some of my farmhouse style crocks and filled them with these Peony Flower Bouquets. Faux florals are perfect for entertaining because you will get multiple uses out of them. I love real flowers, but for this effortless look time and again, faux is preferable.
What’s better than eggs and bunnies as the finishing touches?! Filling in the spaces around the crocks and place settings, I used tons of speckled eggs, glittered eggs, and paper maché basketweave bunnies. Often, I’m a “less is more” kind of gal. But with this centerpiece, a full to overflowing look was what I was going for. Tip: Do not use items that are so tall that people cannot see who is sitting across from them. Use these lower height items to maximize fellowship and conversation.
Brunch food is probably my favorite! And this buffet was so easy to create using store bought and prepared food. What brought it all together so nicely? All the food and drink items were on pink scale or white.
Just as the centerpiece had the runner as a base, so did this buffet table. The runner adds a splash of color against the wooden table. Several other items are repeated on the buffet table as were on the dining table: speckled eggs, glitter eggs, bunny dinnerware, and peonies. Again, I utilized these Easter themed pieces alongside my everyday farmhouse style pieces to easily set up this buffet.
Keep in mind pieces that will add varying heights. The cake stands, two-tone pillar candle holders, and bowls full of eggs create differing heights and interest to a buffet table. Candles add a pretty touch as well. Don’t forget what goes above your buffet table too! I loved placing this gorgeous Easter eggs and flower vine wreath! You can wreaths, garlands and/or other artwork to tie in your Easter themed decor.
I hope these three ideas inspired you to entertain this Easter! Finding these bright and beautiful pieces from Christmas Tree Shops andThat! have me excited about the Easter season ahead and the gatherings I will be looking forward to hosting this year.
