This is one of those days where my list of things to do looks a mile long and I’m wondering if I’ll get it all done. But at this moment, I am sitting here listening to the sounds of the breeze blowing through the trees, as my back porch door is open with this pretty weather here today.
When we focus on our awareness of God’s creation, it causes one to slow down. Scripture tells us to “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). Even in the midst of busy to-do’s, He can speak to us and tell us to just be still, know that He is here with us and that He is still bigger than any worries or stress we have on our plate.
So, that’s what I am doing for the next few minutes. Slow down. My plan is to read some of His Word, maybe something from the psalms and sip on my warm coffee. (After it’s 3rd reheat of the day, haha!) I’ve got these great new resources on hand from Faithbox that I would highly recommend. They are pocket-sized daily devotions that make it super easy to focus on God for a few moments today.
Join me. Be still, and focus your time with God.
