If you all have been following along with our kitchen makeover, you may know that we have been painting our cabinets (DIY on these can be found here and here) and transforming an eating nook into a sitting area. Recently, we’ve replaced our stainless steel, small sink with a beautiful white farmhouse sink!
First, I want to share with you a “before” of how our kitchen looked and specifically, our sink area. It just wasn’t very appealing. (Can you see why we wanted to do a makeover?)
It needed some updating, don’t you agree? The sink in the above photos was not aesthetically pleasing, plus it was small leaving little room to wash dishes after feeding a family of six. Plus, it was not in line with the farmhouse decor makeover we wanted to give our kitchen.
So, now that we have our Sinkology Farmhouse sink installed and working, I am excited to share with you three reasons why it’s the best kitchen sink I’ve ever owned! This sink is amazing.
This sink is beautiful! The detail and lines on it make for such a statement piece, whereas our previous sink had no distinguishing features. It’s clean lines and shape make for a simple, yet eye-catching focal point in our kitchen now.
This 30″ Farmhouse Fireclay sink can hold so much! That is not an excuse to let more dishes pile up (lol) but is a huge benefit to helping with our meal clean up. I’ve also found that I’m not having to tilt or bend watering cans to fill up, but rather they just sit nicely in the bottom of the sink and have plenty of room to fill without having to hold and tilt like I did with my previous sink. The size and shape make for ease of use, and is a dramatic difference from our old, smaller, divided sink.
Although we are not looking to move any time soon, we do know that this sink will help add value to our home. Thus, it is more than just an aesthetic and functional update but overall, we’ve increased the value of our home by doing an overall kitchen makeover.
If you have been considering replacing your current sink with a farmhouse style sink, I hope this post helped you with your decision. I could not be happier with this part of our kitchen makeover, and the beauty and functionality of this Sinkology Farmhouse all-in-one sink.
Do you think my son, Paul, is enjoying it too?
