A small sitting room can be both stylish and functional with the right design choices. Here’s how to bring in warmth, texture, and character to make the space feel inviting.

In my client’s sitting room, we kept the white walls to create a clean contrast with the black-painted wood accent wall, bringing in a rustic feel and adding texture. Lighting completely changes how a space feels. Harsh overhead lights can make a room feel cold, while soft, warm lighting makes it instantly inviting. That’s why we focused on dim, cozy lighting to bring in that relaxed, moody vibe. A simple floor lamp was all it took to add the perfect glow, making this space feel warm and welcoming any time of day.

Style Thoughtfully with Decor
