Halloween wreath in dining room
Creating your own decor is always fun to do, and this Halloween wreath is just that. I knew I wanted a whimsical, farmhouse-style wreath for our dining room so I set out to create it.
Owl wreath
In under an hour and a few supplies, this mysterious and spooky wreath can be made.
Are you ready to get started?
Supplies Needed for your DIY Spooky Wreath:
Homemade owl for Halloween wreath
- Grapevine wreath
- Stick
- Black spraypaint
- Mini pumpkins
- Glue gun
- Battery-powered string lights
- Wooden or crafted Halloween animal (i.e., bat, raven, owl)
- Seasonal stem
- Halloween ribbon
Wreath Instructions:
Grapevine wreath and stick spraypainted
- Go to a well-ventilated area (I always go outside) and spray paint the grapevine wreath and stick. Let dry!
- Hot glue the stick across the grapevine wreath (this is the perch for the owl or raven).
- Hot glue the pumpkins on one side of the wreath, placing them close to one another.
- Hot glue the animal on the perch.
- Weave/drape the string lights around the wreath, tucking the battery pack behind the pumpkin cluster.

What a fun DIY! I’m going to make this with my kids! Your blog has given me so many great ideas for decorating my house this season!
