The supplies are simple: a small to medium size tall basket, faux stems, and an over-the-door hanger. When gathering your faux flowers, think in terms of fullness then let your imagination run wild in mixing reds, pinks, white, etc. I chose to use a variation of pinks, from hot pinks to light pinks. I am more of a neutral gal but love splashes of pink for Valentine’s Day.

Next, choose your vessel. I found this one at Target this year here, and it is the perfect size for our front door. Again, you can use any small to medium size basket. Then, take your faux stems and fold them at the bottom of the stem to get the correct height for your basket. I ended up folding mine up about one third in length. The goal is to have a full look and varying heights. You don’t want the stems showing out of the basket, just the beautiful flowers.

The final step is to fluff the flowers for a finished look. Then drape the handle of your basket over your hook. Step back and smile; isn’t it so pretty? Of course, you can replace the stems with spring florals to nicely transition you into spring. What do you think?
