Let’s talk about winter fireplace decor, but before we do, there is a bit of an update to share with you!
This year I had something new to work with when decorating my fireplace for winter. Can you guess what it is?
Fireplace winter decor
If you guessed a TV, you are right. Having a TV above our fireplace was no easy or quick decision for our family but ultimately we decided we’d enjoy having one in our living room and we are so glad we did!
So, if you are new to my blog, you may be familiar with my no-fail steps when decorating a mantel. The first step includes finding an inspiration piece and building off of that. With the TV now where an inspiration piece goes, I had to reconfigure what to do!
Winter fireplace
I’ll have to say, I do like the way it all came together, and I can’t wait for you to try out using these cozy essentials around your fireplace this winter.
You can shop the look here:
Candles and candlesticks
Can we all agree that these look fantastic on a mantel any time of the year? I used some chunky wood ones I already had on hand and added real, white pillar candles to each one. You can always add more pillar candles across the mantel too.
Ceramic vase with winter greenery
On the other side of the mantel, grab a ceramic vase or pottery piece. I placed a faux bundle of evergreens inside my ceramic vase.
Basket
You know that I have to have baskets (galore!) around our home. So, it is no surprise that I had two baskets at the base of my fireplace area. One on each side!
Candlesticks and candles
The basket on the right is holding one of my favorite pre-lit trees. Once Christmas is over, you simply take off ornaments and just set up the tree in a basket, and plug in the lights.
Black lanterns
In front of the basket with the tree, are two of my favorite black lanterns. Have you ever heard that it is good to have some black in your spaces? These lanterns did the trick and I just placed battery-powered candles in them.
Pillows and blankets
I love a chunky knit blanket (especially with tassels!)! I simply draped a blanket inside the large basket and then placed two winter tree pillows in it.
DIY Blanket ladder
I love adding thick blankets to our DIY blanket ladder. You can simply fold the blankets over or drape the blankets on the rungs.
I hope you enjoyed this post on winter fireplace decor. Which essential is your favorite?
