This year I was wanting to add some new Easter decor to our home. And, the DIY-er in me thought, “why not make this decor”? So, I set out to JOANN where I knew I’d find lots of great pieces I could use to pull together some adorable Easter decorations to share with you.
I found everything I needed at JOANN, and then some (haha)! There are four easy and charming DIY Easter decorations I created, that you too, can easily make in an afternoon or all four this weekend. Are you ready to get started?
I’ve always loved the look of Easter trees and wanted to try my hand at putting together one that would work well in our home but also for many styles of homes. I have been on a kick lately with faux plants/trees and baskets! So, after looking around, I found this amazing white twig tree and this (similar) great basket. Check out the supply list below:
It’s as easy as 1-2-3! Simply place your faux tree into the basket (I secured mine by wedging some plastic sacks in the basket). Then I placed the moss around the base of the tree to create a nice, natural look. Next, I just cut the eggs from the garland and tied/tapped the eggs sporadically around the tree limbs. Using the garland is nice because it already has the twine as part of the eggs for you!
I found these cute bunnies at JOANN to place beside the tree for a perfectly completed look!
When I was looking at the amazing selection of Spring wreaths at JOANN, I fell instantly in love with this one. And, it coordinated perfectly with the Easter egg garland I had used for the Easter tree. I knew adding some eggs to this wreath would instantly create the simple Easter look for our front door.
Again, I cut the eggs apart from the garland, this time because again they were the perfect colors for my wreath. Plus, the right size! Then, I just hot glued them randomly around the wreath.
How cute are these carrots?! I knew they would look perfect in a DIY centerpiece box I use and change up frequently in our home. They have amazing texture and with some Spanish moss, I could easily create a whimsical Spring look for Easter. Only three items needed for this DIY!
I placed some plastic sacks in the bottom of the centerpiece box to add some height and not have to use so much Spanish moss. I then added the moss next. Last, I placed the carrots whimsically around the box, pushing them securely into the sacks below. I love the way it turned out!
I’ve always wanted to try an arrangement like this with candy being a big part of it haha! These gorgeous tulips just scream Spring, and specifically Easter. I spotted them at JOANN, and grabbed three bundles for this arrangement. We already had the Starburst Jelly Beans on hand and the two glass vessels. You just need one that is slightly shorter and smaller than the other.
I placed the smaller jar inside of the larger glass vase first. I then added the faux tulips, bending them at the base to get the height I wanted for this arrangement. Next, I poured the jelly beans into the larger vase (trying not to get them in the smaller vase). It was easy to do, and it’s so happy in our kitchen! My children may or may not have come by and grabbed some jelly beans since it’s been there lol.
And, that is all four of the easy and charming DIY Easter decorations I wanted to share with you all today. What do you think? Are you ready to give one of these a go, or maybe all four? I sure hope you will; they are fun to make and look great just in time for Easter.
