This simple yet lovely Valentine’s Day tablescape will make for a special occasion. A hand-painted heart runner, beautiful faux florals, and lighting some candles make up this sweet table for Valentine’s Day. Scroll down to check it out.
I enjoy sharing with you Valentine’s Day ideas, and this tablescape is one that just might be my favorite yet. When you think of this love day, don’t you just feel like candles, florals, and hearts are the way to go? Those were the three words I used to jumpstart the table I am sharing with you today.
I knew right where to go to find my Valentine’s Day tablescape supplies: JOANN. I found several faux tulip stems and picks including the cute pink berries ones I am showing you today.
I grabbed several stems and picks, craft paper and paint, candles, and more (the full supplies list is below).
JOANN has a huge selection of Valentine’s Day supplies whether you are looking for home decor, crafts, or tabletop items. I especially love their wide selection of florals including everything from wreaths to garlands. They are very budget-friendly too.
First, start with your base of the white tablecloth. Then layer a strip of your craft paper down the middle of the table as your “runner” for this tablescape.
Second, grab your black paint and brush and begin painting hearts in a whimsical pattern on the paper. You could also do XOXOs or I Love Yous instead.
Third, begin placing the larger items on the table including the ceramic containers holding the beautiful florals. By the way, I love these florals from JOANN because they are so real-looking and their stems are easy to bend which makes it easy to fit whatever vessel you are using them in.
Begin filling in the table with your varying height candles. I did use two glass candlesticks I had on hand to create even more height on this tablescape.
Fourth, place the conversation hearts inside the base of the ball jar and add the cute pink berry picks. I just placed 3 in each jar.
The fifth and final step, fill in with your dishes. I used ones I had on hand already but you can use these darling Valentine’s Day paper plates with a charger instead. I did place a cute felt heart in the soup bowls for a final touch.
I hope you enjoyed this post on creating a Valentine’s Day tablescape. Are you ready to create one too?
