This year’s Galentine’s party was one for the books! From the prettiest decor to the sweetest gifts (and even sweeter treats), every detail made the night feel so special. I couldn’t have asked for a better group to celebrate with! If you’re looking for ideas for your own Galentine’s gathering or just want to see all the fun, here’s a little recap of the night!

Let’s talk decor—because what’s a Galentine’s party without some festive, over-the-top touches? One of my favorite DIYs from the night was the Tablecloth Bow Garland! It was such an easy and affordable way to add a fun, girly touch to the space. I shared a step-by-step video on Instagram, but here’s the quick version: grab a few plastic tablecloths, cut them into strips, and tie them into the cutest bows! You can string them together for a garland or use command hooks to create a fun bow wall. Simple, budget-friendly, and so adorable!

Celebrate Birmingham created the most stunning balloon arch and mailbox balloon arrangement that set the tone right at the entrance. It was the perfect touch to welcome everyone into the party and really brought that festive vibe to life!
Each guest brought a themed board to contribute to the spread, making it a fun way to share our favorite snacks! I put together a candy board with Smart Sweets, and it was a huge hit. Along with mine, we had boards featuring everything from pretzels and tzatziki to cookie dough, dips, popcorn, and a classic charcuterie spread. It was a deliciously diverse selection, and everyone loved having so many tasty options to enjoy while hanging out!
As an extra treat, the cake was made by Daughter’s Baking, which was the perfect sweet finish to the spread!
The real highlight of the evening, though, was the “Favorite Things” game. Here’s how it works: each guest brings three of the same item (something they love, valued around $10-15) and wraps them for a surprise exchange. The fun part? Everyone draws three names from a bowl, and those three people open the gifts at the same time, while the giver shares why it’s their favorite item. The best part—everyone leaves with three new favorite things!

After all the fun and games, I couldn’t resist sharing my outfit details because, let’s be real, dressing up for Galentine’s is just as fun! I went for a cozy yet festive look with a red sweater from Bohme (it’s sold out, but I’ve linked a similar one for you!), paired with a black skirt from Amazon, tights, and my trusty suede cowboy boots. To add a little sparkle, I finished the look with sequin bow earrings from Amazon—the perfect playful accessory to tie it all together!
To wrap up the party, I set up a fun little party favor station by the front door. Guests were treated to some sweet snacks to take home—Smart Sweets! Because who doesn’t love a little something extra to enjoy after a fun night with friends? It was the perfect little treat to send everyone off with a smile!
I’ve put together a few collages filled with party inspo to help you plan the ultimate Galentine’s celebration! Take a look, get inspired, and add your own personal touch to your next gathering with friends.
