JOANN Storage Hacks: 4 Steps to Crafty Organization

Today, I’m thrilled to share with you my tried-and-true method for transforming chaotic craft, art, and office supply storage into an organized space for creativity. With just four simple steps, you’ll be on your way to a neatly organized space, thanks to some fantastic finds from JOANN.

Step 1: Start Small – Choose a Drawer or Cabinet

 

Just starting an organization journey can feel overwhelming, but don’t worry! Start small by selecting a single drawer or cabinet as your initial project. That’s exactly what I did.

This approach allows you to focus your efforts, making the process more manageable and less daunting.

Step 2: Empty It Out and Make 4 Piles

 

Now, let’s dive into the organization process. Empty out the chosen space completely, and categorize your items into four piles:

• Keep: Items that you use regularly and want to continue using.
• Giveaway: Things that are in good condition but no longer serve you.
• Trash: Items that are damaged or beyond use.
• Sell: Craft supplies that could find a new home while putting a little extra cash in your pocket.

This step not only declutters your space but also helps you evaluate what truly adds value to your creative hobbies. 

As you can see, I had one large black trash bag for giveaway, 1 smaller bag for trash and everything else I kept.
