Have you jumped in on the whipped coffee craze yet? If you haven’t, I encourage you to give it a go friend! I am sharing all the pieces I used to make my delicious iced whipped coffee and the recipe I used to make it. In just a few minutes you can make this refreshing summer iced coffee drink.

How To Make Whipped Coffee

Whipped coffee, also known as Dalgona coffee, hit social media platforms not too long ago and instantly became a craze that many were trying. My love for coffee definitely spurred me on for trying it too. I am going to provide you the (easy) recipe and steps for making this delicious drink, and at the end, I will list the products I used to make it.

2-2-2 Recipe

To make the whipped coffee, you simply 3 ingredients including INSTANT coffee, granulated sugar, boiling water. I have to admit, I did try regular, ground coffee first and it DOES NOT work. So you do have to use instant coffee to create the whipped texture you’re going for.

Simply measure 2 Tablespoons of instant coffee, 2 Tablespoons of granulated sugar, and 2 tablespoons of boiling water. Pour into a bowl.

Now it’s time to whip it up! You can use whatever you have on hand in your kitchen such as a whisk, handheld mixer or stand mixer. I will say, I am glad to have had an electric mixer because it takes a few minutes to create the “whip” texture even with a stand mixer’s power. But if you have some strong muscles, you’re good to go with a whisk!

You want the whipped coffee to be a similar texture to cool whip. Keep mixing it until it is a thick foam consistency.

Once it is a foam, meringue like consistency, it’s done!

I grabbed a mason jar and put 4-5 ice cubes in it. Then, I poured whole milk about 3/4 full leaving room for the whipped coffee. Next, grab a cookie scooper and dip into the mix. Plop the scoops on top of the milk until your desired amount.

Put a straw in the mixture, sip and enjoy the taste of Dalgona Coffee!

While I am enjoying sipping on the iced version, you can also have it warm.

Plus, there are several toppings you can add to mix it up!

Here are some whipped coffee extras/substitutions to try:

  1. Cocoa Powder

  2. Vanilla

  3. Almond milk (instead of cow’s milk)

  4. Cinnamon

  5. Caramel

What sounds like a delicious topping to you? Are you ready to give it a go?
