DIY Sea Glass Vases
How to Make DIY Sea Glass Vases on a Budget
I am excited to be sharing with you how to make sea glass vases on a budget! Sea glass is one of the hottest items to add to your home for summer, and I can see why! Sea glass is such a beautiful color to look at, it reminds me of the beach; does it to you?
DIY Sea Glass Vases
I had seen several sea glass vases at stores and online, but many had a high price tag! So I decided to DIY my own sea glass vases and I am here to say that it is easy and very budget-friendly! Are you ready to get started?
Supplies Needed for your DIY Sea Glass Vases
Collection of glass vases I had on hand for this DIY.
Sea Glass Spray Paint (This is the exact color I used)
*Sand or Pebbles (You can find decorative sand here)
*Battery-powered flickering candles or votives (battery-powered votives here).
*optional
Outside area to spray paint the glass vases.
Directions to Make Sea Glass Vases
Gather your glass container(s). I used what I had on hand, which included several glass vases and a shorter round hurricane.
Set up in an open, outdoor space your vases to spray paint them. I just laid down brown bags to set my glass containers on top of, but you can use plastic drop cloths too!
Spray paint 2-3 coats on each vessel. Apply the spray paint is a sweeping motion to avoid drips!
Pouring decorative sand into the spray painted glass vessels.
Add filler. This is optional, but I love the way ours turned out with sand in the bottom third of the container and then adding a little battery-powered candle on top of the sand.
Sit back and enjoy the finished project!
Add some glow to your vessels with battery powered votives!
The options are endless when decorating with sea glass vessels around your home. Try grouping them in clusters on a table as I did here. If you are using larger glass containers, they look lovely on a mantel! And, you can’t go wrong adding these to your outdoor spaces.
