If guests come to stay at our home, we need to use one of our children’s bedrooms for them to stay in. Can you relate?
This year, I transformed our middle daughter’s bedroom into our guest bedroom for the holidays. And, I am so excited to share with you the bedroom holiday decor I used for this space.
I found everything at The Home Depot. They had a huge selection of bedding, bedroom furniture, smart home items, and of course, holiday decor. I link everything we used throughout this post so you can easily recreate the look too.
I fell in love with this 3-piece shaggy faux fur duvet set! It is so cozy and very budget-friendly. I also draped this chunky knit throw blanket for those moments when you are just relaxing and resting.
Having fresh sheets with a holiday flair looks great for your guests. These 4-piece pastel gray plaid flannel sheets are so soft for your guests. There are several Christmas patterns to choose from.
This 2-pack down alternative pillow set is a must for your guests! They will enjoy laying their head down at night on these.
A google nest mini is a small but appreciated luxury for your guests.
It is small enough to not take up too much space either! Check out what it can do…
If they need to check the weather, enjoy Christmas tunes, or have white noise playing at night, they’ll love this smart home item sitting on the nightstand.
When you walk into a hotel, they typically have luggage racks/stands for you to place your bags and luggage. You want your guests to have a similar option when staying at your home.
Having an upholstered bench at the end of your bed is one of the best ways to do this! Plus, it’ll extend its use way beyond your guest’s stayed and can be used daily for putting on shoes or additional seating.
Plus, this gorgeous rug (seen above) will provide a soft place for your guest’s feet in the mornings.
Having a mirror for your guests may seem obvious but an item you don’t want to forget if there is not one in the room already! A self-check in the mornings is a necessity.
This lovely ornate, gold arched mirror was perfect to place on top of the nightstand. I love leaning wall items if the space allows it. By leaning you don’t put any holes in the wall and allow for easy rearrangement when ned be.
Adding holiday decor to the bedroom is the icing on the cake! I love placing smaller trees in baskets and that is exactly what I did here. It adds great texture and is an alternative to a tree skirt. I used this cute pre-lit tree and this decorative seagrass basket.
Then, I added some beautiful pre-lit garland above the bed. I simply draped and tucked it on the headboard. I love how it looks at night! Nothing says Christmas like twinkle lights.
Lastly, this darling Christmas tree pillow is my favorite! I love how it makes the bedding feel perfect for the holidays.
What tip do you find most helpful? I hope you will feel inspired to easily add holiday decor to your bedroom this season!
Lovely guest room! Would these sheets be considered to sleep hot? Also didn’t see the link to the rug though…could you share a description of its colors?
Hi Ashley,
The sheets are actually not hot at all in my opinion, which is so nice. They are lighter weight it seems.
I am linking the rug HERE, feel free to check it out. It is LOVELY!
Thank you so much for stopping by, and Merry Christmas to you and yours,
Brendt
