This is one of our favorite Christmas tradition! Gathering with friends and family to decorate gingerbread houses and make sweet memories such a blessing during this busy holiday season! I love the idea of setting up long tables so everyone, from toddlers to grandparents, can build their little gingerbread home side by side, each using icing, candy, pretzels, gumdrops and whatever festive treats you gather to decorate with. As the icing dries and candies find their spot, the room fills with warmth, holiday smells, and the kind of joy that only comes when family gathers to create something together.

This is one of our favorite family Christmas traditions because you can make the houses much bigger and spend hours decorating, watching Christmas movies, and making memories! Pus, you can make a house in under 20 minutes using the cardboard boxes you receive in the mail, because who isn’t receiving a box in the mail during this time?!

Hosting a Christmas ornament decorating party is a great way to bring family and friends together for the holidays. Its cheerful, creative, and perfect for all ages! After everyone decorates their own ornament, display them on the tree or let each guest take theirs home as a keepsake, and maybe even line up gift bags so guests can collect their creations to take home. This kind of gathering sparks creativity, smiles, and lasts as a meaningful holiday memory.

An ugly Christmas sweater party is all about fun, laughter, and letting go of perfection for the holidays. Setting the scene is easy: turn up the holiday tunes, string lights around, and create a dedicated photo corner complete with fun props so everyone can snap memories of their silly ensembles. Mix in holiday games like a sweater contest, Christmas carol karaoke, or charades to keep energy high and laughter flowing. Serve cozy snacks, warm drinks, and classic Christmas cookies, and you’ve got a celebration the whole family will love

A Christmas movie watch party is one of the simplest and sweetest ways to slow down during the holiday season. There is something so comforting about gathering everyone in the living room with soft blankets, some must have snacks, and a lineup of your favorite festive films. Whether you choose a classic that brings back childhood memories or a newer holiday favorite, the magic happens in the togetherness. It is an easy, heartfelt way to make your home feel warm, inviting, and full of the joy the season brings.

A Christmas cookie decorating party is one of those traditions that never loses its charm. It brings out the creativity in everyone and fills the home with the sweetest kind of holiday joy. I love setting up a simple decorating station with frosted sugar cookies, bowls of sprinkles, icing in festive colors, and plenty of space for little hands and grown ups to join in. It is relaxed, fun, and perfect for all ages, which makes it such a meaningful way to spend time together. As everyone decorates cookies to enjoy or gift to someone special, the room fills with laughter, conversation, and that warm holiday feeling we all look forward to each year.

A nutcracker painting party is such a charming and creative way to celebrate the season. Its an activity that works beautifully for both kids and adults, and it naturally sparks conversation and laughter as everyone shares their progress. When the paint is dry, you are left with keepsakes that make the perfect holiday decor or sweet gifts for loved ones. It is a cozy, hands on tradition that adds a touch of storybook magic to your holiday gatherings.

There is nothing more comforting on a chilly holiday evening than gathering around a hot chocolate bar filled with delicious toppings, warm mugs, and festive cheer. Lay out a variety of hot cocoa options alongside fun toppings like whipped cream, marshmallows, candy canes, sprinkles, and mini chocolate chips. Let guests pour their own drink, build their perfect cozy cup, and sip while chatting by the fire or watching Christmas movies. A hot chocolate bar is easy to set up, fun for every age, and brings a cozy warmth to your celebration that feels just like home.

A Christmas themed game night adds energy, laughter, and lighthearted competition to your holiday celebrations. Watching as everyone laughs over silly answers, playful dance moves, or unexpected wins brings a joyful vibe that’s perfect for families and friend groups alike. It is the kind of evening that turns simple party games into memories you’ll talk about for years to come.
