Being May, I find myself saying the well known adage “April showers bring May flowers,” and that is has! Fresh flowers are in bloom all around us here in Alabama and stores are full of real and faux flowers, all bringing joy to this lovely time of year. It’s no surprise that my excitement to incorporate flowers into decor has been piqued!

I have joined up with several blogger friends to share with you all charming ways to decorate with flowers in the spring and summer months.

A couple of weeks ago, I shared here why having a potter’s bench is awesome! They are functional when planting your flowers and plants, but they’re also visually appealing in any garden or outdoor area. Who doesn’t love to see stacked pots and colorful flowers decorating these time-worn and tattered benches? I love how it all looks.

For this Spring and Summer, I chose a mix of both tall and delicate white flowers, draping greens, and a splash of pink daises to use on this potter’s bench. I also used various pots and planters to put them in, incorporating terra cotta pots and multi-colored painted glass containers. The use of flowers on this outdoor potter’s bench makes me smile every time I see it.
