Can I just say how excited I was to begin decorating this Christmas season? It felt like I was ready to back in October which of course would have been way too early, when November 1st hit, it was the green light to begin putting up Christmas decorations here in my home.

The first space I tackled was our entryway. I knew I wanted this space to feel inviting, festive, and cozy when our guests or our family walked in our front door.

For me, twinkle lights, lots of pillows and blankets, greenery, and trees make for a magical Christmas look. This was my decorating goal for our entryway. Many of us have things from years past that we enjoy decorating with, and it is also fun to add some new items as well. That is precisely what I did to create this year’s holiday look in our foyer area.

For the new, I found everything I needed at JOANN. They had a huge selection of trees, greenery (garland and wreaths), pillows, stockings, and other tabletop pieces for your Christmas home. It was so hard to narrow my choices down because I loved it all! In the end, I was able to make my choices based on the color palette I had in mind for this year’s Christmas decor, and knew I wanted pieces in line with modern farmhouse style. I can’t wait to share with you what I found and how I made it all come together with pieces I already owned to create my warm and cozy Christmas entryway for 2019.

The color pallet I was going for was black and white, with splashes of red and plenty of greenery (and glowing lights as I mentioned above). I gravitated immediately toward these gorgeous Handmade Holiday Christmas Large Berry Bush-Red and grabbed several stems to place inside this textured basket. A tip? Stuff grocery bags into the bottom of a basket to give easy height to an arrangement like this. I also took apart one to place on top of my all green garland. Then, I placed two stems in my wall buckets to carry them across the room.

Can you see the berries I stuck in the garland? This Handmade Holiday Christmas 66” Mixed Greenery Garland is some of my favorite garland at JOANN! I love good old fashion garland like this one. To create this layered look, just drape across a wood sign or on top of another type of ledge. It gives that beautiful finished holiday look to pieces like this!

Have I mentioned how much I love a glow at Christmas time? Well, when I saw these fantastic Handmade Holiday Christmas Medium LED House Tabletop Decor, I knew they would be coming home with me. I placed these two smaller ones on the chest to the left of our front door and this larger one by our Christmas tree that is next to our bench. I added these Handmade Holiday Christmas 100 ct Clear String Lights to our flocked tree to replace Mixing twinkle lights and battery-powered candles is Christmas cozy perfection!

Placing a wreath on your front door is always a good idea for the holidays! There are so many kinds to choose from at JOANN, but I gravitated toward this Handmade Holiday Water Resistant Pine & Pinecone Outdoor Wreath and love it! It goes so well with my other greenery and is not too flashy. I love mixing greenery that is flocked and not flocked. Plus, it’s water resistant to withstand the outdoors…yay!

Speaking of flocked trees, these two Handmade Holiday 2′ Mixed Flocked Christmas Tree with Burlap Base completed this styled tabletop with their festive look. They were just the size I was looking for and come pre-lit. I love little trees on top of tables for Christmas, and they also transition well into winter decor. Any Christmas decor that will work through the winter is a win-win!

Our entryway bench is always fun to decorate! And I get excited about adding the seasonal color among my other neutral pillows which these Handmade Holiday Christmas Red Knit Pillow with Gray Pom Poms were so fun to find at JOANN. They truly added the perfect splash of red with the other pillows. I also added the cute burlap stockings (similiar ones here), which were perfectly in line with farmhouse style.

The garland completed the look above the bench! I mixed two types of garland: the Handmade Holiday Christmas 66” Flocked Longleaf & Pinecone Garland found here and the Handmade Holiday Christmas 66” Longleaf Pine & Pinecone Garland found here. I simply stacked them one on top of others to give more fullness but still allow people to hang a coat or purse when they come to visit. Above this wall hook board is a holiday gallery wall I hung again this year. You can go see last year’s here! The little Merry Christmas sign was a fun find this year (this is a similiar one), and it fits perfectly onto my gallery wall.

It was so much fun decorating our entryway this year with pieces I already had on hand and the new, festive pieces from JOANN. At night it all glows so pretty and feels like a magical winter wonderland. I am so happy with the way it turned out; what do you all think of it? Do you have a favorite piece?
