6 Can't Miss DIY Summer Wreaths
I love having wreaths around our home all year long. I simply change them out seasonally. (Or more often if I find one I like while out haha!) I commonly place them on our front door, above our stove top leaning against the hood, or layer them on top of wall mirrors. They are a wonderful element of farmhouse decor and make for a warm feeling around your home.
I have joined up with several blogger friends to share with y’all six can’t miss DIY summer wreaths. Thank you Krista from The Happy Housie for organizing this fun series! Each of these wreaths are doable even for the beginner DIYer! I am so excited to walk your through these ideas and I know you will love them all too! Let’s get started.
I have been enjoying citrus fruits and colors around our home already this summer, so keeping that in mind I chose to incorporate lemons for my DIY summer wreath. I also chose olive tree leaves and white peonies for the wreath itself. This wreath turned out better than I had imagined and I share with you all the details on how to make it here.
The supplies list, step-by-step instructions and tips I learned from making it are all shared here. One of my favorite parts about this DIY wreath is that you can change out the fruit and/or flowers season to season because it does not use hot glue but rather uses florist wire, making the base of this wreath resuable and not a one season project. This wreath is sure to add a bright and lovely element to any space in your house. I have my hanging layered over a mirror in our entryway.
Leslie shared How To Make A Succulent Wreath and just look at how beautiful it is! This wreath uses real succulents that only need misting every so often. I am in love with the thought of having a wreath that uses real plants and is easy to maintain. She mentions that is also can be set atop a table for summer decor. The colors, texture and overall look have me so excited about making one myself!
Janine shared How To Make A Paper Flower Wreath DIY using these watercolor flowers she hand cut and glued them onto a grapevine wreath. How clever and beautiful is this idea? Her easy to follow steps gives you confidence to give this paper wreath a try too. I love how she opted to use handpainted flowers to get the exact look she was hoping for when the faux flowers she originally had planned to use, just didn’t look quite right. This would be wonderful to make as well!
Ashley shared a Hanging Basket Summer Wreath With Peonies and I am loving her twist on a traditionally shaped round wreath for your front door! I have been admiring these baskets for some time now and by simply adding these summer bright peonies, makes for an easy yet big impact for summer. I am eager to get these supplies and create one for our front door too!
Krista shared a DIY Driftwood Wreath with Air Plants and I’m obsessed! It reminds me of our recent trip to Jekyll Island where we visited Driftwood beach (you can ready my family vacation guide on Jekyll Island here). She had the driftwood already on hand and in no time at all put together the wreath featuring a live air plant. So cool and definitely perfect for summer time! Can’t wait to make one as a visual reminder of our wonderful vacation; thank you, Krista for this idea!
Kristi shared The Easiest Summer Wreath You’ll Ever Make …I like the sound of that, don’t you?! And, it’s an adorable rain boot wreath? Yes please! Kristi mentions that once you have your supplies gathered, it take less than 30 minutes to make. I love how all the details added up to an amazing result. The polka dot bow, the happy flower colors and of course the boots. I can’t wait to give this one a go too!
Aren’t these so much fun? And each one is equally unique. I hope you are ready to take on these 6 DIY summer wreaths.
