AUTUMN INSPIRATION BLOG HOP.png

If you are hopping over from Randi’s tour of her beautiful porch and entryway, welcome! Randi at Randi Lynn Blog, is so talented and I know you walked away inspired by her autumn decor.

I am so glad you are joining along this Autumn Inspiration Blog Hop. A big thanks to Lindsay (Aratari At Home) who was our gracious host and organizer of this hop!

Fall is my favorite time of year, so I can’t help but continue adding layers of autumn decor throughout our home. Today I’m sharing with you our dining room. Decorating with neutrals is the direction I’ve taken this year in our home (you can see additional Fall spaces of our home here and here) and our dining room area reflects this style with a slight splash of rust. I tend to keep things simple when it come to tablescapes, and after attending my favorite barn and pickin’ sale this past weekend, I found the perfect vintage treasures to create a time worn, fall dining room table centerpiece and buffet focal point. So come on in and check it all out.

1. Dining Room Centerpiece:

In this arrangement, you see European vintage wood spindles, antique crystal salt and pepper shakers, and faux greenery. This mix nailed my goal of adding various textures and layers when utilizing neutrals for fall decor (for a FREE guide on decorating for fall with neutrals, CLICK HERE). Adding a pillar candle and white pumpkins really pulled the autumn look together. Various heights are key for aesthetic appeal.

2. Place Settings

For my table settings, I simply added a faux pumpkin and greenery to each setting. I utilized linen napkins, napkin rings, a linen table runner, and rattan chargers I already had on hand. Transitioning into different seasons does not have to be something that is a financial drain, but one that you can do fairly easily with items you already have and then just sprinkling in the seasonal pieces. When investing in everyday items, think in terms of neutrals so it makes this way of decorating budget friendly!

3. Buffet Focal Point

Finding a piece that can act as a focal point when decorating tables, mantles, sideboards, etc. will help anchor the vignette and create a resting place for the eye. When I saw this big crock at the pickin’ event, I knew it belonged here filled with fall florals! From there, I added some more texture and layers with the wooden tray and several various textured white, faux pumpkins. Those splashes of color are found on the wood beads as well as the berries mixed in with the florals.
